Pinot Noir
Burgundy in color, this Italian Pinot Noir has a very distinct, silky nose of fresh cranberries, roses, and a hint of cedar. Dark and with snappy acidity on the palate, tart red cherry and pomegranate flavors blend with earthy, mushroom notes that evoke Italian terroir of black, volcanic soils. French oak lightly comes through on the mid-palate with nuanced sandlewood flavors, finishing medium-bodied with crisp acidity and a touch of espresso.
Simple Italian food comes to mind when pairing with this lively Italian red wine; serve with a Quattro Formaggi pizza, fettuccini pasta with rich marinara sauce, or a goat cheese brushetta.
